For the second avocado recipe, you will add a few more ingredients like egg white, olive oil and apple vinegar. First, cut away the skin of the avocado. Mash the cut avocado with 1 teaspoon of apple vinegar, 1 egg white and a dash of olive oil. Olive oil should be added last.

Once the mixture is ready, let it work on your face for close to half an hour before washing off.

Chemical facial peel is a skin rejuvenation technique that uses chemicals to remove layers of dry skin that may be damaged. Once removed, it gives you a better complexion by removing wrinkles, blemishes, and uneven skin coloring.

Chemicals commonly used are;

a. Phenol, trichloroacetic acid (TCA)

b. Alphahydroxy acids (AHAs).

The extent of your skin problem will decide how much chemical mixture will be required for your chemical facial peel. If you are considering a chemical face peel, just remember, it is not a face lift.

Some doctors will use a facial peel at the same time as a face lift but, it is not one nor does it provide the same benefits. All facial peel procedures are temporary in nature and will not reverse the aging skin process.

Things to know

If you decide that you want to have a facial peel, you should know what to expect. Very often, the person who performs the chemical facial peel does not possess any medical degree. Even when you need a very strong chemical peel, no medical degree is required for such procedures.

However, some of the states do regulate the strength of the peel used. When deciding on this procedure, it is wise to choose a provider that you feel has the highest training standards for those administering the chemical facial peel procedure.

You may want to talk to some of the clients who they have completed the procedure on in the past. Remember, this is your face we are talking about!

At your first consultation, be sure to talk to them about every option available. Also be open and honest with them about any questions and feeling you may have.

Before you receive your chemical facial peel, your physician may require you to follow some steps to prepare your skin. You may need to use Retinol A or other cream to get your skin ready. When the peel is being preformed, anesthesia will not be given unless it is just for the purpose of helping you to relax. Speak to your doctor about this. It is not necessary for the face because the chemicals in the peel will anesthetize your skin. The chemicals are applied to the skin and it usually only takes about 10-20 minutes.

Full chemical facial peels may take up to two hours. You may feel a slight sting when the chemicals are applied but, it will pass quickly. After your chemical facial peel is complete, you will not need any other treatment or bandages. To get the effect you want in your skin, you may need to have the procedure completed more than once.

Afterwards

You should not have any problems with returning to work or other activities immediately after the procedure. Your skin may be dry and flaky but, this will soon fade. You will notice subtle changes in your skins appearance at first. With more sessions, your skin will see faster results and improvements.

Remember, it is not a long lasting thing. It is not permanent. You will have to provide protection from the sun as the damage to your face can occur again. Also, the effects of aging are not stopped, only improved with a chemical facial peel.

Does collagen supplements really work for your dry skin? Almost everybody wants to stay looking young for as long as possible. In fact, there is a multi-million dollar industry founded on this desire to look young. However many of the health care treatments that claim to work wonders actually does little. The best way to stay young looking is to eat a healthy diet and make use of the right natural ingredients.

Diet

The problem with modern society is that we all don’t eat a healthy balanced diet, fortunately it is possible to take a variety of supplements to help us stay looking younger for longer.

To re-oxygenate our selves we should increase our water intake and also practice a deep breathing exercise. The sun is very beautiful; however it is also very dangerous to our skin, it is necessary to protect our skin from the suns harmful rays. To protect our selves from these harmful ultraviolet rays, we should cover our selves up with clothing and hats. If you suffer from dry skin you should also get into the habit of applying moisturizing creams daily.

To keep the body flexible and supple you should do yoga or pilates, not only will these improve your flexibility, but they will also be extremely enjoyable.

No matter what we do, we will inevitably find ourselves aging. As we get older, our hair starts to get thinner, wrinkles, freckles and age spots all start to appear. It is impossible to actually prevent the signs of aging because the causes of it are actually unknown. We do know that sunlight exposure increases the rate of aging, and avoiding this completely is impossible as we all know.

Collagen

It is actually a compound that is naturally found in the body and is responsible for the firmness of the skin in young people. Collagen is what makes younger people have tighter, and smoother, glowing skin. When we get older, the collagen levels in our body reduce and this causes our body to start aging. The lack of collagen in our body makes the skin to sag, thinning of the hair, joint pains and numerous other age related diseases.

Collagen injections can be used to enhance the facial appearance, however it should be understood that this is only a temporary cure and more than just one injection will be required.

Instead of repeat injections, collagen is also available in supplement form. Though the injections are temporary and have immediate effect, supplements taken orally have a longer lasting effect but the effects take longer to notice.

Health food stores stock many types of collagen supplements of which Type I and Type II are the most common. These are omni present in our body like in our hair, nails, skin, muscles, eyes, teeth, and tendons. Taking these supplements also help in strengthening our cartilage and bones.

Collagen supplements taken orally are completely painless and the results last much longer. With these supplements we fortify our selves with collagen which slows down the aging process. Consumption of these supplements along with a healthy balanced diet will keep you looking and feeling younger for a longer!

These 2-in-1 shampoos (shampoo and conditioner) are good for the scalp as the conditioners within it helps to protects the scalp and prevent further flakiness and dry hair.

Prescribed-shampoo

If you have a very severe case of dandruff, you may need to see a dermatologist to ask for medicated shampoos like Selsun Rx – a type of prescribed-shampoo which is more concentrated and effective against dandruff.

One thing to note about all shampoo is that your scalp may get used to the key ingredients used in a particular brand. The result is that it can be less effective than before. That’s the signal for you to start switching to another dandruff shampoo to maintain a flake-free scalp. See also:

Diphenhydramine HCI is an antihistamine.Pronounced as (dye fen HYE dra meen) or brand name(s) Benadryl Benylin, doctors usually prescribed antihistamine for people suffering from itchy skin.

Controlling the itch

How does diphenhydramine stop the itch? It works by blocking the release of histamine and other itch-producing chemicals in your skin.

This helps to decrease itchiness and prevent other symptoms of allergic reaction. With the transitory respite of itch from eczema or other minor itchy skin conditions, you can sleep better and more peacefully at night.

Usually taken orally, tour doctor will normally prescribe about 25mg to 50mg up to four times daily if you are an adult. Children would take less, somewhere between 13mg to less than 25mg.

The key effect this drug has on most people is drowsiness. Do not drive or operate any heavy machinery when you are on this medication. If you missed a dosage, do not feel that you need to double up to offset the shortfall. Such acts can be dangerous.

Manufacturers have started adding Diphenhydramine HCI into anti-itch lotions such as calamine lotion. Calamine lotion is an over-the-counter medication, which can help to soothe itchy skin. Excessive concentration of diphenhydramine could result in skin sensitivities problems. Hence, most lotions usually contain less than 2% of diphenhydramine.

Precautions

As a safety warning, patients with the following diseases should refrain from taking Diphenhydramine HCI:

Peptic ulcer disease

Bowel obstructions

Asthma

Heart disease

High blood disease

Diphenhydramine HCI creams should not be applied areas of your body where there are open wounds, blisters or swelling skin. It may provoke adverse skin reaction and may cause your itch to worsen.

Side Effects

Temporary side-effects like headache, constipation, blurred vision and dry mouth could take place. For some people, they may encountered skin rashes and other minor reactions.

As you pass the 30-year-old landmark, dry facial skin can develop. The most visible and that can appear is those dreaded wrinkles. Other like the following can be associated with dry face:

* Your skin becomes rough and dry.
* Cracked skin appears.
* You seem older and have a lifeless appearance
* Skin becomes itchy and so on.

Low humidity during the winter months can cause your skin to dry out. As the uppermost layer of your skin stiffens, the non-oily parts of your skin can become irritated.

In most instances, cracks and fissures in your facial skin will begin appearing, forming confined lines at certain parts of your face. Dry skin symptoms like this can turn into wrinkles if you ignore these early telltale signs.

As your facial skin becomes dry, it may tempt you to wash it a lot. Never do this. Do not try to wash your face habitually with hot water. Doing so may result in facial natural oils present in your skin to go away. Once these oils are gone, your facial condition could deteriorate.

So what can you do if you have extremely dry facial skin?

1. Use a bath oil to replenish oil you have wash off your face.
2. Use dry skin lotions to help improve your facial dryness. A dry skin product like Atopalm helps if you need any recommendations.
3. Use moisturizing lotions such as Xtend-Life day or night cream to remove the scaly look in your skin.
4. Install a humidifier to correct the low humidity level in your house.

Which type of makeup products and ingredients is good for your dry skin?

Many beauty products claim to address dry skin but contain ingredients, which further exacerbate dryness. Creams that are supposed to treat dry skin contain ingredients that strip the skin of natural oils that are useful in preventing dryness.

Some even contain chemicals, which go so far as to seep through the skin and dissolve natural oils or de-fat the skin.

Tip 1 Always use a mild, alcohol-free makeup kit if you have dry skin.

Tip 2 Look for formulated ingredients like oils, mucopolysaccharides, and fatty acids. These are widely used in cosmetics to prevent water loss.

Bentonite or Kaolin, for instance, are clays that may clog and suffocate the skin; Glycerin (MSDS) draws moisture from inside the skin. Not to mention, alcohol, many of which are highly toxic, is found in most OTC (over-the-counter) makeup.

Liposomes are microscopic spheres that can encapsulate water, vitamins or other beneficial ingredients. Because these elements are similar in structure to cell membrane, they are more easily utilized by the skin. They can penetrate skin surface, bind with it and release the substances they carry.

Ceramides and Sphingolipids are the elements that hold skin cells together so that the environment can not get in and the moisture can not creep out.

Milk of Calendula The Calendula plant is well known for its therapeutical qualities. Its anti-inflammatory, wound healing and sedative properties are used frequently in cosmetics for dry skin. Wear it under makeup every time.

Milk of Avocado. Avocado is good for dry skin. It contains essential vitamins that helps to prevent any skin dryness. Avocado milk refreshes, moisturizes and conditions – perfect for treating dry skin.

Final makeup and dry skin beauty tips: If you must use a makeup, give those containing natural ingredients a try. They provides excellent alternative to conventional makeup and beauty products cosmetics.
