What is eczema atopic dermatitis or AD for short?

Often called eczema, AD is one of the most severe categories under this skin disease. A lot of AD cases started during their childhood and increasingly, there’s a rise in the incidences of children who are suffering from this skin disorder.

Affecting more than 35 million people in United States alone, this skin condition is not contagious as believed. However if you are suffering from it, you may be experiencing intense itching with frequent flares of red patches on the face, forearms and even the hands.

1) Use antihistamines to minimize the itch.

2) Apply an oil-rich moisturizer to control any flaking and cracks.

3) Avoid harsh skin care products like drying soaps, rough clothings and dusty environment.

4) Seek a dermatologist’s help for steroids or any other tropical treatment.
