Use a good shampoo
Usually mild shampoo will do the trick for but those suffering from extreme dry scalp, consider using a moisturizing shampoo instead. Couple with a good shampoo conditioner, a good hair shampoo should be able to help to remove or minimizes your scalp problems.

hi, im not sure what is going on w/ my scalp. i was diagnosed being allergic to propylene gycol…i stopped everything with this ingredient. my scalp is dry and itchy. i scratch every night… i try sooo hard.ive used so many diffrent shampoos, all promising to take away the itch. the meds that the dermo give me, all have the pg in them…WHAT CAN I DO????

I would suggest you keep a food diary and try to determine if you are allergic to any food sources. One of the main causes for dry scalp is due to allergic to food. It seems as if you have been using several medicated shampoos and they are of no use. Seek help with your trichologist if the condition refuse to go away.
Use extra strength t-gel- that has tar in it. I have itchy scalp, and most of the time when I use it, it soothes my scalp for a while.
i had dry scalp for about 6 years now, i could find anyway to stop it for good. ive tried everything as well, even acids, oil and cream (even tried cuting short hair)and the the dandruff is amazing!
At the moment, the driness is moving downwards into my face ><
