Tip 1

Refrain from using harsh shampoo. Use anti-fungal shampoo which can help you to kill the bacteria’s present in your scalp. Look for shampoos with ingredients likes zinc pyrithione contained inside them.

Tip 2

You can also turn to natural remedies like tea tree oil to control symptoms and flare ups caused by Seborrhoeic dermatitis. Just mix a portion of apple cider vinegar and water with tea tree oil and apply it to the affected part of your scalp. Tea tree oil is known to have therapeutic benefits which can help to reduce inflammatory condition of the skin.

Tip 3

Taking supplements like borage oil and evening primrose oil may also help. However do remember that you need to consume these supplements for at least up to 6 weeks before you can experience any positive results.

Tip 4

Having a healthy lifestyle and careful nutrition diet is important. Our skin is a reflection of what we eat and drink. Therefore, it’s always advisable to steer clear from alcohol and fried food. Drink plenty of water and eat more fibre-rich foods.

If you find that your scalp dermatitis is troubling you persistently and causing you plenty of sleepless night, then it’s advisable for you to book an appointment immediately with your dermatologist for a full scalp check-up.
