How To Soothe Winter Dry Skin
Are you one who starts to have winter dry skin each time the wintry season comes?
Our skin is easily affected by the environment around us. During winter season, where low humidity levels come to pass, the moisture content of our skin deteriorates. As a result, our skin becomes drier.
Allergy signs that you will notice includes things like tightening of the skin, flaking and scaling of the skin may occur. Your skin may be cracked, irritated and you may feel your skin to be slightly itchy at times as well. This can be very distressing and psychological damaging to one indeed.
So what can you do to prevent such winter dry skin?
1. Keep your living place airy. Planting a few plants will help as it can rehydrate and act as humidifier in your living space.
2. Always remember to moisturizer your skin. Winter takes always the essential oils in our skin, and a good moisturizer can restore the suppleness and much need nutrients to protect our skin once again.
3. Wear protective gear and clothing. Freezing temperatures can result in dry cracked skin. By wearing gloves, knee sweaters and other clothing shields, your skin is sheltered from the impact of the harsh winter effects.
4. Avoid long and hot showers. Despite the weather being colder than usual, it is not wise to engage in such a type of bath as experts have claimed that it’s damaging to our skin and is key cause of dry skin. Showering less may not be a good option as body hygiene is still important. Therefore, the best is to have a quick, short bath in lukewarm waters.
